Noche en Blanco Seville 2026: Free Readings on Alameda
Seville’s Noche en Blanco returned on Friday 2 October 2026, with a special stop for book lovers: an evening of readings aloud at El Club de los Raros on Alameda de Hércules.
The event was announced at the bookshop at Alameda de Hércules, 25, where books would leave the shelves to take centre stage for a few hours.

Tonight, the books speak
The idea was simple: step into the bookshop, sit among hundreds of books and enjoy different stories read aloud.
There was no need to bring a book or take part as a reader. Visitors could simply find a seat, listen and enjoy.
The programme offered three separate 25-minute reading sessions, with five-minute breaks between them.
This made it easy to combine the activity with other Noche en Blanco plans. Visitors could attend one session, join two or stay for all three.
📚 Reading times
21:00 · 21:30 · 22:00
25 minutes per session · 5-minute breaks between sessions.
A free activity with no booking required
The activity was advertised as completely free, with no advance booking required.
Admission was first come, first served, subject to the bookshop’s capacity.
Drinks were available to buy for anyone wanting something to sip while enjoying the readings.
The location in the heart of Alameda made it an easy stop on a route taking in other Noche en Blanco activities.
RaroWare: literature and technology between sessions
The readings were not the evening’s only attraction.
Before the sessions and during breaks, visitors could try a prototype of RaroWare, an unusual machine designed to introduce literary texts in a different way.
The device was still being designed and was developed in collaboration with the Asociación Sevilla Maker Society.
This small experience combined literature, technology and curiosity and was available to try during Noche en Blanco.
