Otoño en Sevilla: books, Sevillian food and live music on 8 November
A Sunday to meet the person behind a book, taste freshly prepared rice and let live music keep the conversation going. That is the invitation behind Otoño en Sevilla, an Isbilya Eventos gathering bringing together books, Sevillian food and live music at Club Victoria on 8 November.
The appeal is in the mix: approach an author, discover a novel you had never heard of and return to the conversation with something good to taste. Come with a partner, with friends or on your own to share food, reading discoveries and a curiosity about Seville.

Books to talk about, discover and take home
Special guest Gregorio Serrano, author of Los crímenes del Alcázar. Sevilla 1918, will join the gathering. It is an opportunity to discover his novel and speak with him in a setting that encourages questions and conversation.
Also taking part is Carmen Macedo, author of La noche que sonaron las campanas and La Osa de Ándara. The confirmed writers also include Laura Grey, Félix Morales Hidalgo and RosAlma Saavedra, bringing more voices to this meeting between books and readers.
Seville bookshop Botica de Lectores will help visitors purchase books during the gathering, subject to title availability. Come to meet a particular writer, or let the conversations lead you towards your next read.
Editorial Senderos is also collaborating in the gathering, with its president, Salvador Anaya, and its adviser, Mario Anguita, attending.
Sevillian flavours and rice prepared before your eyes

Food is part of the gathering from the start, with a selection of appetisers inspired by traditional Sevillian recipes and produce, designed to enjoy while moving around the venue and talking to fellow guests.
Chef Luis Murillo will lead the live cooking demonstration, preparing an arroz meloso —a creamy Spanish rice dish— with local ingredients for guests to taste. Watching it come together adds another shared experience to the afternoon.
The ticket describes a tasting experience. If you have allergies, intolerances or specific dietary needs, contact the organiser before booking to confirm what can be provided.
Jazz, blues and soul with Blues Whispers
Live music comes from Blues Whispers, with a repertoire of jazz, blues and soul. It is a fitting companion to an afternoon built around listening, talking and enjoying time together.
The meeting of writers, food and music gives this first edition its character. Instead of choosing between a literary outing and a food experience, you can enjoy both in the same place.
Where it takes place and how to plan your visit
The venue is Club Victoria, calle Puerta del Osario, 14, Seville, from 14:30 to 17:00 local time. Save the address and plan your arrival so you can enjoy the gathering from the start.
